This standard table slide consists of a right and left pair, and is designed for opening and extending standard four leg tables, The standard slide is meant to be used in tables where the support moves out with the table top when it is expanded.The slide develops a camber to support the extra span created on the table when the distance between the legs increases as the table is opened. This slide should not be used for a fixed base or pedestal style table. The slide consists of a series of parallel boards that are able to slide back and forth on smooth joinery with a male and female butterfly notch. There are 8 pre-drilled holes per slide for table top installation and a built-in rack and pinion to ensure smooth and equal extension. This type of slide develops a camber to compensate for sagging in the center of the table when the leaves are inserted. Mounting screws are not included.
